The 7th congress was held at the University of Rzeszow, Poland, in February 2011. This was the first congress that had a working group on university mathematics education, a working group of math educators and mathematicians. This new group focuses on the content and delivery of undergraduate mathematics education. One of the areas in the call for papers and posters was "developmental/action research in which researchers identify problems and devise, implement, and evaluate reforms of practice . . . that aim for deeper understanding of issues regarding the teaching and learning of mathematics at university and post-secondary level". The working group discussed 21 10-page papers on undergraduate mathematics education and reviewed 7 posters on research projects. Final posters and papers will be published in May, however, the papers reviewed during the congress are available.
